We got Walls

Here are a couple of pics of the walls that have been built so far. They are still covered over but inside those forms are the two walls of the new Youth Room!!!

Higher and Higher

Here a few more of the walls being formed. A lot got accomplished today - some things that are not all that visible but very important, they will never bee seen again... but without it you would see it again - does that make sense?

All the forms you see now are of the youth room area...

What a difference a day makes..

Well - in less than eight hours there was a good bit accomplished. Compare these to the earlier photos from today and you can see that they are moving right along.
This particular wall is the wall facing north (Cardinal Dr) and is the wall to the Youth Room...

Feeling a little walled in....

Ok Lets describe what we are seeing.... above is the east wall of the existing building. The stairwell has been removed. The black area on the wall used to be completely covered in dirt. The the stacks you see in the left corner are the forms for the concrete walls.

The picture above shows a portion of the footers/foundation that will support the walls that will go up most likely after the 8th of December. The red stack on the right is the forms and the workers are placing the 2x4s that will start the walls going up (the base of for the forms.

Our best guess is that by the end of this week the forms will be up on a good portion of what will eventually be the walls.
When that happens we will put some extra pictures up.

IF YOU CLICK ON A PICTURE IT SHOULD OPEN AND YOU CAN SEE SOME REALLY GOOD DETAIL!

Ok - maybe you knew that - but I didnt and I thought is was just really cool...

Memories of Mud Pies

Mud... everywhere mud.

BUT this time the rain didn't stop the work - much anyway.
The subcontractors are pumping out some water and continuing to form the pillars for a concrete pour this week.
Today's sun and wind will be a great help in drying out the whole area.

Hopefully soon we will have some pictures and video to show you... right Jason?
