A few updates - more to follow

this is the lower half of the building - two stories, open to the ceiling - mutlipurpose room. Windows are being delivered the week of Easter and will be installed the week following - the large opening you see is where a double door and portico will be.

Above - The Fellowship hall - the "green" sheets you see are insulation for the walls - take note of the silver line just below the little opening WAY up at the top - that is basically the ceiling height

By the way - this is what the whole building will look like after completion - with a couple of minor differences - the red line shows where the "old" building ends and the new building begins
The small door on the far left will be a double door with a portico that will look similar to the drive through - as well there will be a sidewalk from that door to the parking lot.
and the building wont be white... it will be the same color it is now.

I am FLOORED!!!

Ok - folks - this was an ALL important day!!!!! This is the key to the rest of our progress.
THE FLOOR.
Today (FEB 12) one half of the floor was poured - on Friday the second half will be poured.
After a 7 day drying period the work will take off.

The walls can continue up, the steel frame can go up and the flooring for the second level can be poured in....

I finally cheer on the steelers

Well - REAL steelers that is...
Monday Feb 9th they will be pouring concrete on the gravel you see - that will form the bottom floor

this forms the second floor - the gray steel will spread out and a corrugated steel sheet placed on top, from there they will pour a pad of concrete on that to make the floor.

Snow=Slow

Ok - well maybe the snow isnt the "full" excuse why things are going slow - but the cold hard ground is.
There are still things going on, still some work being done but not so much work that is readily visible.

The snow and ice do slow things down abit...

Hopefully over the next 10 to 14 days there will be some progress that will be more apparent.

The next things you should see will be the steel flooring, some higher walls and some dirt being backfilled on the inside wall.

Finally More work has gotten Done!!!!

December was a slow month due to the rain that we continued to get but now you can see the progress that has been made! It is looking good and if all goes well steel will start to be put up within the the next 2 weeks!
