"Hello, Verizon Construction Division"
"Please DONT transfer me again ...
"Ok, let me try this again - this is Mr Anderson the project manager for PCB, I was wondering where you guys were - you were supposed to be here on Wednesday this week to take care of your cable."
and DONT put me on HOLD!
"May I help you sir?"
"Yes, can you give me the status on work order number #######?"
"Hold Please..."
"Dang it"
"Yes sir, that project is scheduled for Wednesday."
"Uh, this is Friday and you were supposed to be here Wednesday.'
"Yes, sir but the Verizon contractor forgot to schedule Miss Utility as required by law and they cannot work until they do."
"Do you mean to tell me that they forgot to contact Miss Utility?"
"Yes sir."
"Really?
"Yes sir."
"You have got to be kidding?"
"No sir."
"Ok... what is the status?
"The computer shows that Miss Utility will be there on Monday (maybe Tuesday) and the contractor will be there on Wednesday to perform the work."
"So they will indeed be here Wednesday to work?
"Yes, sir... they should, that's all I know."
"Ok, we will see... thank you... good bye."
And now you know the saga of why Verizon didnt show up . Feel free to contact Verizon to let them know your displeasure... better yet use the time you would have spent on the phone with them to pray for the church and the construction process - it will definitely be more productive.
More later....
